TOWN CENTRE

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO

CLIENT 20 VIC Management

STATUS Completed in 2016

SCOPE Architecture, Interiors

MMC is both the Design Architect and Architect of Record for the current $100 million transformation and expansion of Erin Mills Town Centre in Mississauga, ON. The objective was to completely revolutionize and rebrand it as an upscale urban retail destination – better, rather than bigger; an enhanced shopping experience, showcasing retailers while focusing on amenities which enhance the customer experience.

The project includes a two-level, 50,000 square foot expansion on the East side of the mall housing a completely revitalized second floor food court where a soaring 54-foot high clear glass façade and balcony make a dramatic visual statement, as well as street-level retail and restaurants.

The new clerestory mall section introduces increased ceiling heights that will open up sight lines to the retailers, add much needed natural light and allow for higher and more dynamic storefronts.

The centre court which contains generous seating areas, customer service and a spectacular reflecting pool all under the largest double curved structural glass skylight in the world. It has become an instant success with the community and is destined to become a landmark within Mississauga.
