MMC International Architects are currently seeking professionals to assist on world-class projects within a creative and dynamic design culture. We have employment opportunities for qualified, creative and self-motivated individuals starting in early 2018 in their new Vancouver location. This will be a unique and fruitful opportunity for driven individuals who will play an integral role in developing MMC’s presence on the West Coast. It will be important for candidates to exhibit related retail and commercial experience based on North American standards, design and practices.

Intern Architect

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mixed-use development and retail architecture

  • Graduate with a Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree and/or a Diploma in Architectural Technology

  • Registered as an Architect or an Intern Architect with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and/or Ontario Association of Architects is not mandatory but will be considered

  • Experience in mixed-use development and retail architecture

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team setting and able to deliver under tight timelines

  • Sound knowledge of BC and National building code

  • Ability to interpret and develop design concepts from design development through to contract documents

  • Are self-motivated and well organized with a demonstrated passion for design excellence and project delivery

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to produce conceptual sketches and renderings (freehand and computer)

  • Ability to interpret and develop design concepts from design development through to contract documents

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, 3D Max, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
